INSIDE THE MANUFACTORY (November 2011)
William Jannke sent me so many pictures relating to the Wiggenhorn Bros. Cigar business that there was no way I could use them all, but I particularly wanted you to see these of the “Cleanest and Best Equipped Cigar Manufactory in the Northwest.”
This is the interior of the factory around 1910. Notice the surroundings, the window shades, and the drabness. Then notice the age of the young boy who is in charge of the women. Look at the waists on the women. Imagine sitting on a box all day!
